Untold (aka Jack Dunning) has been busy for the past few years not so quietly fusing the bass heavy sounds of dubstep, two step, techno and house. This is where the magic happens - the point of intersection between genres. Untold's releases from Hessle Audio, Hotflush and Hemlock, alongside those from growing group of producers including FaltyDL, 2526 and TRG, are helping blur the lines between many of the oh so pigeonholed and formulaic genres of dance music we love. Refreshing sounds...
The people at Unsound Festival and The Bunker must feel similarly because they're bringing the aforementioned artists together with Pole and NYC bass cadets Dave Q, Sepalcure and Konque for "Bass Mutations", a storming night of US debuts and worked out bass bins. Apart from the ahead of the curve Dub War and XLR8R's Turbo Tax, chances to see dubstep related producers of this caliber in NYC are few and far between. Get your tickets now - according to Beyond Booking's Spinoza, they're going fast. The Bunker - Williamsburg, Brooklyn - February 13th.
