Viktor Palmer’s sound can be described as analogue-sounding, minimalistic, experimental, puristic, melancholic techno. Ranging from Maurizio-esque dub techno to harder stuff, he creates a dense, moody and especially bass-heavy sound. An experimental touch combined with a certain depth and can always be found in his vinyl-only dj-sets. He played his favourite Dutch club TrouwAmsterdam twice this year at the forward-thinking club night Imprint. Although techno is the common theme of his sets, he never plays four-to-the-floor bangers from start to end: creating a special atmosphere with obscure and hard-to-find records is way more important than fist-pumping.
