Biography of Weirdo Police

Real name /
Moniker(s) / Mat Playford & Tom Gray (Tomas Malo)

WEiRdO! Records and the flagship group 'Weirdo Police' consists of Mat Playford and Tom Gray. They first met in 1986 at a music for pornographic films convention in Brussels where they promoted individual projects. It wasn't long before they found a shared love for tights and disco gravy so decided to form their first group 'Hot Mice' with which they released the pioneering single 'Friction Burns'. However after limited success they decided to split in the summer of '89 and pursue their own solo dreams- Born with a 6th finger on each hand, Playford forged a career as a successful concert pianist playing throughout eastern Europe to audiences as large as 15 or 20. Gray continued his hobby of bigamy turning it into a full-time career defrauding aging women out of their savings whilst organizing illegal cock fights on weekends. But for fate that could have been the end for the duo. However a chance meeting in 2002 at a tattoo parlour in Munich was to change all that. Immediately on seeing each other again they realised what a mistake their being apart had been and set to work building a state of the art studio that would be advanced enough to house the newly reformed Weirdo's futuristic vision. The Vulva Rooms were finally completed in 2004 and the 'Weirdo Police' were born! Now set to release their first album 'You're Nicked!' to undoubted worldwide acclaim the musical revolutionaries and their pioneering label 'WEiRdO! Records' are ready again to engulf the globe in a green fog of weirdness.
