I-F:

I-F (short for Inter-Ference; real name Ferenc E. van der Sluijs) is a producer and DJ based in in The Hague, The Netherlands. He is a former member of the Dutch electro pioneers Unit Moebius.

We first came across I-F in 1997 when Andy Weatherall dropped his absolutely huge track “Space Invaders Are Smoking Grass” at the Rub A Dub Christmas party at the Sub Club. To be followed by a trip into the shop to ask what was THAT track?!?! He subsequently released albums on Disko B, and 12’s on his own Viewlexx label.

It was his Mixed Up In the Hague Vol. 1 album from 2000 that really put I-F on the map. This is an amazing mix, which has been cited by many, including Morgan Geist, as being the catalyst that brought renewed interest in Italo Disco.
