On Saturday 22 January, the City Arts and Music Project plays host to the third installment of “CLASSIC MATERIAL”, a series events and exhibitions celebrating 30+ years of recorded rap music promoted by London based collective of DJs, designers, photographers and filmmakers, the ‘Rap Music Fan Club’. Each month we celebrate an individual year of rap’s colourful history. This month way pay homage to the music of 1989.

We're gonna be playing strictly Hip Hop from 1989: De La Soul, Jungle Brothers, Salt 'n Pepa, MC Lyte, Digital Underground, Neneh Cherry, Mantronix, 3rd Bass, Heavy D, Def Jef, Twin Hype, Doug Lazy, etc.
