First up. I am not going to write this bio myself and pretend it was written by someone important. You will not find quotes such as "after discovering his dads Kraftwerk records at age two, Ant began playing at the local blue light disco" Bios like that are crap and mostly full of it. So here is a real bio written by myself.
I have been a dj for 10 years. My first gig was at the seminal Melbourne club nigh Purveyors at Lounge. Purveyors was all about playing a diverse blend of house, breaks, electro, hip hop, drum and bass and what ever else you could creatively present to a dance floor. I loosely stick to this ideal in my dj sets today.
Over the years I have been the resident dj at a few successful and respected clubs such as Lounge, Revolver and most importantly Honkytonks (where I was the Saturday resident for 5 years). I have played in all Australian cities and even played in South America.
Many djs like to put a list of international artist that they have played on the same bill as in their bios. I don't want to subscribe to being a cliché, but here is a list of the internationally known acts that I have ACTUALLY PLAYED ON THE MAIN STAGE WITH, not in some side room to two people because I told the promoter I would bring some mates. I am sure I have forgotten some
Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, Steve Bug, Tom Clark, Damian Lazarus, 2 Many Djs, Felix Da Housecat, Scissor Sisters, Herbert, Layo and Bushwacka, Stacey Pullen, Maurice Fulton, Justin Harris, Luke Solomon, Spektrum, Jacob London, Miles Maeda, Martin Bros, DMX Crew, Chris Duckenfield, Jamie Liddel, DJ Garth, Charles Webster, Chatau Flight, Adam Freeland, Tom Middleton, Kaskade, Q Burns Abstract Message, Jacques Lu Cont, Swayzak, Ricardo Villalobos, Rasoul, Jason Hodges, Diz, James Curd, Jamie Thines, Dizzy, Midas, Inland Knights, Hippie, Halo, Lil' Mark, DJ Bailey, Storm, Peshay, Carl Cox, Ectomorph, Recloose, Dj Sneak, Les Rhythm Digitales, Junior Sanchez, Roger Sanchez, Chez Damier. Super Discount.
Besides this, my records have been charted and played by such djs as Pete Tong ( Essential Tune of the week) Tiefschwarz, Damian Lararus, Tiga, Derrick Carter, Andrew Weatherall, Mark Farina and Steve Bug
These days you can catch me play at Tramp on Fridays from 12 am til 2am. You can also catch my radio 'Beastie Bitz' show on kiss FM every Thursday from 11pm til 1230am (www.kissfm.com.au)
