Brian Deady is a Cork based vocalist/composer who is making leaps and bounds and already after being noted as "one to watch for in '09 "by The Irish Times.

His own mix of soul/pop/disco/funk/a cappella commutes between influences like Steely Dan, Kool and the Gang, and Marvin Gaye and more contemporary artists such as Erykah Badu, Outkast and Amp Fiddler.

His first single 'Any Ol’ Ting' caused quite a buzz on the airways and was nominated Red Fm 'single of the week ' in summer '08, while his video was screened at the Cork Film Fest '08 and recently crossed the waters to the Chicago Irish Film Fest '09 .

Known for his much acclaimed barbershop/beatbox track 'Gold spot', a cleverly crafted vocal-only number which featured on Prime Time's Southern Fried 2 . Following the huge response it created he spent the next 4 years working on his sound, writing new songs and crafting album prototypes into audio gems. The forthcoming album: 'Interview' is currently being put together with both Ross O'Donovan and Colm Kenefick and is due for release at the end of summer.

While currently putting the finishing touches on 'Interview' he has joined forces to produce a 7 piece live outfit ;a hugely talented cast including the highly acclaimed Niwel Tsumbu on guitar ,Tomas Gall on drums and Rory McGovern on keys.

The live set has been wowing crowds; debuting at the Cork Jazz Festival '08 supporting the Poets Of Rhythm and more recently opening for soul queen - Candi Staton. The reputation of this soulful pop/funk act is really gaining momentum and with his new single ‘Over Like McGyver’ due for release in June ’09, Brian Deady's unique meshing of styles is set to catch fire .
