Funk D’Void Live!
Frank Tope & Tayo (Rooty DJs)
Greg Vickers (Tribal Sessions)
The biggest night in ClubClass history is almost upon us. Nine years of dark rooms, huge soundsystems, incredible DJs and many unforgettable moments have taken us on a path with the best chapter still to come. For on Saturday 18th February ClubClass makes its long awaited London debut at the magnificent Ministry Of Sound for the first of six exclusive 2006 London parties. ClubClass and Sundays at Space, Ibiza residents Nic Fanciulli and Paul Woolford will of course be in control of proceedings, bringing with them a whole host of fantastic musical talent.
In The Box the acid driven, mind bending sounds of Fanciulli and Woolford will be complemented by Tribal Sessions resident Greg Vickers and an exclusive live set from the legendary Lars Sandberg aka Funk D’Void. Lars will be showcasing material from his new album ‘Second Skin’ (out soon on the almighty Soma Records) and no doubt productions from his critically acclaimed 'Technoir' , 'Dos' and 'Volume Freak'. In addition this will be Funk D’Void’s Ministry and ClubClass debut and he will no doubt be looking to mesmerize us with a trademark powerful and emotional performance.
In The Bar Ministry resident Marc Hughes will feature alongside the South London sounds of the brilliant Rooty DJs Frank Tope & Tayo, as well as James Talk of Saved Records. Tope & Tayo will deliver three hours of electric and eclectic boogie, blending in the best of dirty jacking house, heavyweight funk, dusty disco classics and frenzied Latin percussion, whilst James will be opening the room with his unique deep house sound that has resulted in gigs for Shindig, Tribal and Renaissance and productions for Saved, Get Physical, Toolroom and Cr2.
Finally the Baby Box will play host to Breakpoint, ClubClass’ brand new breakbeat project. Breakpoint resident Mark Fanciulli welcomes five superb up-and-coming DJs consisting of Nick Liousias (Futurism), The Shake DJs (Duncan K & James Allardyce) and Sinister Soul. These guys look set to give a masterclass in the broken beat so make sure you check out these awe-inspiring prospects.
So if you’re up for some serious underground shenanigans we have the lineup for you. Three rooms spanning the best in house, techno, electro and breakbeat and all things in between, will provide you with a fresh outlook on pure & simple clubbing and have you craving for more.
ClubClass at The Ministry. The dawn of a new era. Make sure you’re a part of it.
