The second Channel Zoo label showcase is brought to you by 8 Bit and Vinyl Club; promoters whose focus is squarely on underground house and techno fun. They have been selected by Channel Zoo for their forward thinking attitude to music, which is ideal for the spirit and attitude of the night’s attendees who never come down.
Set in the quite surreal surrounds of an abandoned zoo and the leafy hills of Benimussa, this party is one which will stick in your mind for its musical excellence and rave rareness. Channel Zoo aims to give more to the clubber than just great music, and from the venue alone this is evident. Chill out in the short films cinema or be mesmerised in a magnificent VJ set, either way, we’re sure you’ll find each and every part of this event as entertaining as can be.
So the music sirts with Nick Curly and Georg, the 8 Bit bosses. With the deep house movement having a decent portion of its roots in Manheim and Curly being one of the protagonists of that sound, you’ll know what to expect already. His taste making talent has made Jonny D, SIS and Robert Dietz into global stars by having them release on his uber-hip label, 8 Bit. With a debut LP coming along with more productions for Liebe*Detail, Get Physical, and Mobilee, Curly is un-missable.
Fellow 8 Bit chief, Georg is as equally determined to weave only the deepest minimal melodies with the most subterranean house as his cohort Curly. His own productions and remixes appear on labels like Suruba, Murmur, and Freerange, so his production work is as sharp as his talent as an A&R man.
IenaSaw is a duo with experience of sound engineering and live shows, and with a passionate, deep and open-minded approach to music. They have released to great reception on Vinyl Club, a label run by the final guest…
Luc Ringeisen founded the record store Vinyl Club in Spain, 2003, and in 2005 it mutated into a label which spreads underground electronic music in Ibiza and has unearthed some of the best underground music producers of the moment such as Petre Inspirescu and Jonas Kopp. His set will be of equally high quality.
One of few parties to unravel in the open air, Channel Zoo’s core underground ethics and dedication to the cause, coupled with the mini fest atmosphere, dancers, fancy dress adorned clubbers, all add up to one hell of a platform from which this party will bubble into something special courtesy of two top shelf record labels.
