Saturday August 1st sees us welcome back Kid Circus, this time with his latin-funk Coolhurst project. His output has been gaining momentum with support from the likes of Mark Ronson, Gilles Peterson and Craig Charles. The latest vinyl EP, “They Came To Play” features the block-party rhymes of New York’s DJ Emskee. To celebrate, Kid will be spinning his trademark mix of funk, breaks, disco, re-edits and his cheekiest bootlegs. Top percussionist Tony Fratts will also be on hand with his latin and afrobeat-inspired rhythms. Lastly, we have SB White label’s head honcho Paul Barkworth, whose reputation as ‘tastemaker extraordinaire’ ensures we’ll finish the night off in style....Whew!
