Regardless of how much thought i put into these silly little blurbs, the fact remains that reputation can only be built on tangible accomplishment. Take the 3rd of July for example...
As soon as the doors opened the Cave was rammed like a sardine can. As the big steel fans pulsed and cooled a radioactive crowd, the thunderous basslines sucked everyone in to a dark abyss of spazmodic body movements other assorted scallywag behaviour...
We return this month (well it's the same month but thats the way it works) with a fresh one-off concept which see's us tackle the enormously deep chasm of progressive and all it's facets. We feel we have so much variety to offer and have decided to specially craft a set for this occasion, involving a deeper, more fragile sound whilst still driving you into the ground.
Coming from our roots in progressive music, special effort has been made to bring you artists that encompass the ideals of this style - good mixing, good flow, good direction and most importantly of all: quality underground records.
Alongside Symmetry regulars Dildz&Nick & Dirty D
& Ahab we will be bringing you one up-and-comer who's mixes have scarcely left the cd players of Symbiotic headquarters...
Lachlan Ainsworth epitomizes the term up-and-comer. He was booked for this gig solely based on his music which, for someone who's name you don't see that often, is exceptional. His obvious dedication to the music he loves will shine a brilliant light onto the dancefloor when he graces us on the 31st
Next scallywag off the rank is Aussie favourite Robbie Lowe. The Sydney stalwart really doesn't need a spiel but i believe it's worth mentioning he has a list of achievements as long as a Symmetry guestlist. From supporting Tiesto to playing mainstage sets at major Australian festivals along with a slew of quality releases and a diary of bookings equal to that Micheal Jackson's comeback tour (too soon?....jog on!) Either way it's a landmark Symmetry occasion and we are all very excited to mix it up alongside one of Australia's best.
There is a lack of unique underground parties that attract open-minded, loose human beings who are willing engage in a communal feeling of fun and embrace the people, the music and the location in which they are partying. We aim to bring you a tribal experience in a concrete jungle. So come down on July 31st and delve with us into the hypnotizing world of deep progression. We'll bring you beauty, fragility, darkness and wonder...
P.S. We are constantly looking for new Dj's to play with us at Symmetry. Regardless of who you are, where you've played, or haven't played, come down with a demo and have a chin wag to me, Nick or Dirty D. We love inexperience and the keenness it brings so please give yourself a chance and come get loose with us...
Much Symmetrical love
