To continue the Breakspoll Awards celebrations Leyline presents Breaking Ground, The Official Breakspoll Aftershow @ SeOne club on Friday 24th February 2006. The event is promoted and produced by Leyline and will feature an awesome line up of national and international talent that will compliment that of the Breakspoll awards party at Fabric the night before. The After-Show will be presenting a whole host of award winning Breaks DJs such as Rennie Pilgrem, who has picked up Outstanding Contribution to Breakbeat three years in a row, as well as the Breakfastaz who won Best Breakthrough Act 2004/5 and mixed the first Breakspoll Compilation last October. The second in the series will come from Freq Nasty (set for release in early 2006) who also will be mixing it up at the aftershow.

And as an extra special treat ‘The Teamplayers’ Live band will perform which is the finale to an 18 month recording session with the leading lights in modern day breakbeat. The band features Aquasky, UK Apache, Spyda, The Ragga Twins and Ban Jyang. It is a guitar infused breakbeat rock sound that will set the vibe for the night. This performance is an exclusive offering to the Breakspoll Aftershow, so catch it whilst you can! Splitloop will also be performing live who have just released their debut album ‘Here On Business’ (Against The Grain) which their own sound of funk fuelled style of breaks. Phil & Bren of Splitloop are a fantastically talented and witty duo from Dublin, who have a mutual respect for electronic music.

There will be three rooms to wet your appetite. The Main Room will feature top class DJs such as Freq Nasty and Rennie Pilgrem, as well the two live performances mentioned above. Room 2 will have the heavy bassline breaks for those who like it harder from the likes of Pendulum and Breakfastaz. And Room 3 will see international breaks DJs bringing their flavour of breaks from around the world. This is the first time that all of these DJs have been brought together for one event, so this can not to be missed!
