From an audience of two billion people watching the XXth Olympic Winter Games opening ceremony in Torino, Richie brings us a night of complete intimacy at B.E.D. Long known for pushing and manipulating the boundaries of technology and music, Richie is the consummate evolving electronic artist. Hawtin’s latest release DE9: TRANSITIONS utilizes Abelton Live and ProTools software to strip apart, and then reassemble, his component tracks to make completely new pieces of music, combining multiple elements simultaneously into a constantly shifting collage of sound. With the use of new recording advances and automation techniques Richie is the master of reinvention and emerges with each live performance to create an immersive sonic experience.
