"BUMPER CARS" (Out on Beatport Tuesday, August 11th)
New York DJ/producer Chris Luzz joins the Quarterlife Records family with this subtle - yet effective- progressive house pumper. A shuffled percussion sections moves around a big round bassdrum and filtered atmospheric notes come in and out of the track, with a quirky and catchy bassline riff that bounces you along into a 5th pattern of drone tones. Great use of effect automation make this a tight and detailed track!
Guatemalan remixer Alejandro Rivera brings us a super-intense interpretation with massive builds and acid-y squelches galore, leading into a beautiful and dreamy breakdown sequence. Lots going on throughout this peak-hour techno-progressive bit of mayhem!
Icelandic remix duo Autophresh are rockin' Reykjavik with the solid, straight-ahead progressive house builder. Electro beeps, minor chords, and white noise washes make this synthy rendition a perfect bridge track from early-night to middle-night on the dancefloor.
England's Simon Latham, also a resident of frosty Reykjavik, draws on his Soundsation and Stress Records pedigree to turn out a subtle, moody, beautiful remix full of lush analog pads. The ominous tone of the track makes it the perfect grandiose closing track on the big floor.
