Magic Sessions, the longest running and highly anticipated annual dance music event during Conference week, will celebrate its 16th anniversary at famed South Beach hot spot Crobar. In keeping with tradition, Magic Sessions will once again showcase some of the world's most sought after Producers/ DJs: Grammy award-winner "Little Louie" Vega (Masters At Work) and Tony Humphries. We are proud to present Jazzanova (Sonar Kollektiv - Berlin) upstairs as part of our all-star line-up at this year's event.
Native New Yorker, DJ Little Louie Vega, began his illustrious career playing at some of the city’s most legendary venues such as the Devil’s Nest, Hearthrob and 1018. His popularity rapidly grew, as his parties would soon constantly draw over four thousand euphoric club goers! While he is mainly noted playing excellent sets, he also attained the same level of success in his remixing ventures. His production skills are also considered flawless as he collaborated with Latin singer Marc Anthony to produce the international dance hit “Ride on the Rhythm”. All of these vast achievements cement Little Louie Vega’s status as New York’s premier deep house DJ.
Joining Vega is Tony Humphries. Humphries has awed dance music fans across the globe with his "Hump-in-the-Homefries" brand of soulful house. He landed his first DJ gig at New York’s exclusive “Club El Morocco” in 1975. However, he soon moved to “Club Tribeca NY”, where he gained great fame. He soon began to develop his creativity by producing and remixing songs with prominent artists such as Donna Summer, Karen White, Queen Latifah and the Jungle Brothers. In the early 90s, his eminence achieved international level and began thriving residencies at the “Ministry of Sound” in London, England and “Echoes” in Rimini, Italy. Also tonight in the Reed Room, Jazzanova presents DJs Sonar Kollektiv and DJ Berlin.
