Skookum’s inspired line ups and affiliations continue into April with more class acts and underground house dons. Stepping into the fold this month are Output Recordings ready for their first Skookum experience. None other than head honcho and true musical entrepreneur Trevor Jackson will be stepping up to the turntables for this exceedingly special Skookum.

Responsible for signing seminal and visionary artists such as LCD Soundsystem, Four Tet, Black Strobe, Rapture and Mu his acute musical awareness makes him a true electronic pioneer. As a producer, under his Playgroup moniker, he has remixed the likes of Franz Ferdinand and more recently his re-work of the infectious grooves of KC Flights ‘Front the Back’ which has been picked up by Defected Records for wider release. As displayed through his brilliant Playgroup DJ Kicks compilation his DJ skills are second to none. Respected and admired by industry and clubbers alike Skookum are delighted to welcome him to their Friday night house-fest.

Support in the main room comes from the up and coming Deportivo Street Team who will performing an exciting Live Set showcasing their ‘electronic-sleaze-funk’ productions that have been featured on recent compilations by Dan Ghenacia and Silicon Soul.

Taking on the ‘alternative’ back room we welcome another key player on the scene all the way from New York DJ Spun of Rong Music. Spun will be playing tracks from his prolific and much hyped label amongst an eclectic set of house grooves with a big hint of soul. Taking the relatively short trip down the M6, back room warm up duties have been handed to Woody from Birmingham’s finest underground, eclectic and forward thinking ‘Jigsaw ‘night

Residents Sean Brosnan and Dom Chung complete what could be one of the finest Skookums to date, and yes that’s right, it’s not to be missed!
