“Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger”:
the title of one of the most famous Daft Punk’s track happens to be the best way

roBOt02 Festival is supported by

If the last year the bolognese festival experienced a success above any expectation, made of an attendance of more than 7,000 within three days, this year the work of Shape Associated – the collective that is giving birth to the event – had to be even "Harder”, that’s it: face up last year’s results, possibly improving them.
An improvement firstly based on putting up an artists’ line up that’s even more accurate – “Better”, therefore. World level events, artists coming to Italy for the first time, great attention paid to covering the most various facets of the club culture. All you need is to take a look at the names: the Shape project that involves Carl Craig, Moritz Von Oswald and Francesco Tristano, then Guy Gerber, dOP, Tobi Neumann, Mirko Loko, Pastaboys or the mighty Tokyo Black Star.
That’s because you have to be day by day even more ready and even “Faster” (there we go!), if you want to intercept what’s new, to keep in touch with your own musical territory, to taste creative vertigos that continuously happen and renew themselves: the Bologna electronic music scene is hugely and deeply represented, with some of the best Italian producers and dj’s joining forces. But being “faster” could mean also embracing those wild territories shaped by the interplay of sounds and visuals. Palazzo Re Enzo, for instance, will become a playground for brilliant ideas created and developed by some of the best young Italian contemporary artists, thanks to the call4roBOt section/action.
Finally, “Stronger”: awareness is the most efficient strength, and awareness is in itself a feeling that is human and human only. The digital galaxy is something adventurous and sublime, the electronic music made by software and machines has radically changed in the last twenty years the musical landscape, bringing new energy, new stimulations, new ways of listening: take a look at what exceptional performers like Tim Exile, Deadelus or even the great Ericailcane are going to deliver.
But all that shouldn’t allow us to forget the fundamental (or, better said: definitive) importance of the human factor. roBOt has accurately selected artists and projects that are ready to embrace and share this vision, this kind of attitude.
