DJ BUTY

Recognised across club scenes in many countries, DJ Buty specialises in creating and playing electro-minimal house, techno & progressive house and tribal music that generates exciting and energy-charged atmospheres on dance floors across Europe and Australia. At just 15 years of age, Ibiza-born DJ Buty spent his first night behind the console at a nightclub in the Balearic Island of Formentera. The experience awakened his passion for animating crowds and left him determined to put his unique stamp on the international music industry. In the ensuing period, he experimented with a number of genres, including pop, rock and funk, but it was in electronic music that he discovered his true personality.
In 1996, DJ Buty began collaborating with fellow DJ David Moreno to produce Ibiza-based radio program Ibiza Dance. At the same time, he started playing in many of the mainstream nightclubs in Ibiza.
In 1997, he visited the influential and highly successful Privilege nightclub in Ibiza and was subsequently appointed DJ resident of the La Vaca evenings. The position afforded him the opportunity to play with many renowned guest DJs. Their collaborations ran on a regular basis until the closing party of 2001.
Over the same period, DJ Buty also played a series of nights in clubs across the Balearic Islands, and in the most prestigious nightspots throughout Valencia, Barcelona, Madrid, Bilbao and Granada. He also made numerous appearances in clubs across Ibiza, including PACHA, SPACE, El Divino, Privilege, Amnesia, Kaoos (now known as Eden), Guarana and DC-..10. In Formentera, he played at Xueno, 10.7, Casa Paco and Moon Bar.
His console partnerships have been numerous and he counts a number of high profile and well-respected deejays among his previous collaborators. He has worked with Bob Sinclair, along with Satoshi Tomiie, DJ Pippi, Jose Padilla (from café del mar), Kenny Carpenter, Ted Patterson, Hector Romero, Frankie Knuckles, Little Louie Vega, Isaac Indart, Cesar Del Rio, David Morales, Alex Neri, Claudio Coccoluto, David Moreno, as well as many other noted deejays from Spain and Italy.
Other collaborations followed and saw DJ Buty enlisted to contribute in his capacity as both artist and producer. His better-known collaborators included David Moreno, Isaac Indart, Miguel Ortiz, Stefano Lotti, Lenny Karup (ibizarre) and Massivan.
During the past four years, DJ Butys summer seasons have been spent as resident of the celebrated nightspot, Xueno in Es Pujolis, managed by Alessandro Gaeta (art director, manager of the evening, Made in Italy, in AMMNESIA, Ibiza). In addition, DJ Buty continued to manage B&F every Saturday, which remains the most popular night with revellers on the island.
From the winter of 2004 to the present time, DJ Buty has taken up residence in Milan. He has played at the consoles of clubs like Shocking, Bolgia, Cantiere Delirio, Tocqueville 13 and Open Gallery.
Now currently residing in Australia, he is fast establishing a large following, a result of his guest appearances at a number of well-known nightspots and exclusive parties around the country.
