On Saturday 26th of September, Say Yes, London's celebrated East-End dance-off returns to the Star of Bethnal Green.
The last party was one of our best yet, with Andy Blake celebrating Dissident's new compilation with a quite unexpected all 7" euro/disco/boogie/rock set! With all the recent hype, and as Disco goes tesco and Cosmic goes cosmic, we applaud the true modern legends who can still provide us the more leftfield surprises that keep Say Yes's dancefloor healthy!
A hard act for us to follow but after a Summer of travels to NY and Japan, and with a whole new boatload of leftfield disco and boogie oddities tracks from around the globe we are excited not only to have all our residents under one roof for the next party, but that from here-on, we are going monthly! There will be seasonal parties and some very exciting special guests coming soon but in September, Rory Phillips (Durrr) Nadia Ksaiba (G&S, Our Disco) and Thomas Whitehead are in charge and bringing out the extended 12" party jams!
SAY YES takes place every two months at The Star Of Bethnal Green with residents Rory Phillips, Nadia Ksaiba and Thomas Whitehead playing percussive party jams, robotic house, disco boogie, arpeggiated italo, krautrock, post-punk and high NRG. Previous guests have included; Prince Language (Editions Disco) Padded Cell (DC Recordings), Mooner, Mock 'n' Toof (DFA), Cosmo Vitelli, Zombie Zombie (Versatile) and Quinton Scott (Strut Records)
