Melting Pot Global is a collective dedicated to bringing global-soulful dance music to the masses through the arts. It's a weekly event fordeep & soulful house headz that LOVE 2 dance; featuring resident DJs Kervyn Mark and Kamala at the decks. It began in New York seven years ago and its buzz of it being a must-go-to event made it gain nominations as Best Monthly Event for the Underground Archives Choice Awards. In addition to experiencing the arts, attendees are often treated to the sounds of other well known DJ's who have moved dance floors around the world. Names such as Osunlade, Louie Vega, DJ Spinna, Martinez Brothers, Kenny Bobien, Tortured Soul, Monique Bingham, Groove Collective, and many others. Everyone is welcome, regardless of age, sex, color or social status to experience the multi-media forum ranging for live art showcases, poetry slam and live musical performers. Water Taxi Beach, South Street Seaport is open seven days a week from 11am - 11pm or later. Located on the north side of Pier 17 with spectacular views of the Brooklyn Bridge, Water Taxi Beach will cater to families in search of reasonably priced food and outdoor entertainment on an 18,000 square foot location with signature sandy beach, 9-hole miniature golf course, ping-pong tables and skeeball.
