Taking the form of vinyl based label Afro Acid Plastik, and digital version Afro Acid Digital exciting times are ahead. Louie Vega teamed up with Afro Acid founder to release Da Jungle (DJ Pierre vs Louie Vega). M Beat magazine describes it as fitting the Afro Acid mold perfectly.
The Afro Acid movement has taken-on a life of its own. DJs and producers around the world use the term Afro Acid to describe their work. Hot Chip used Mory Kante’s Afro Acid version of ‘Yeke Yeke’ on their latest Bugged Out compilation, which came out in April 2009.
