It also began in America and Europe. One thing unites these three continents though…music. Disco, African Beat and Rave have grown out of these geographical locations. Tonight we bring them under one roof.
The Malawi Sessions brings together a wealth of musicians and ravers alike for a one off night of sensual seduction. In aid of the Lake of Stars Charity and Tourettes Action UK this electronic music extravaganza is about fund raising and raising awareness for the peoples of Malawi and Tourettes sufferers in the UK. Tonight all profits go to these two wonderful charities!
Part 1///Disco, Afro Beat, Electronica, Ecleticism///
Jumping on the decks first we have the impossible to pigeon hole Winnebago with guns slung low he plays a varied selection of disco and upfront electro. Tonight he presents a retro spective mix born out of his years based in Florida learning from the best.
Joining us also will be Tane and Emma residents at Chibuku in Liverpool. Anyone whose been to this Liverpool club night stalwart will know there blend of eclecticism for the former and banging tech house for the latter always take the roof off any party.
Part 2///Tech House, Techno///
Our sub-liner for the night and making his first appearance in Manchester is Warb. Simply a star of the future and IDJ magazines one to watch. His grooving techno is so sultry you will feel like your by the famous lake in Malawi itself.
Our headliner for the night is Ruthit & Calor. Anyone whose witnessed one of there sets over the past year in Manchester knows they are destined for big things. A record deal in the bag and with there trademark rolling, grooving sexy techy beats you will see why big things are expected of these two partners in rave.
Visuals///Art Works///3D////
On the night we will be turning Sub 61 into a 3d art installation and will be a feast for the senses. There will be a full on African style boudoir where you can chill/mong out on the finest thrones! We also have our friends from Headtonik coming down to feed your herbal high fix.
This will be a were you there moment. If you do one thing for charity this year, let this be it...

Where is Sub61? Walk straight down Peter Street and over the crossing of Deansgate. You will then hit Quay street, stay on your left until you reach Walkabout. Take your next left and Artillery Street is the first street on your left again...follow the music.
