MISTER SATURDAY NIGHT PRESENTS EWAN PEARSON
Ewan Pearson has been integral to many facets of the dance music scene since he started making records in 1996. He's banged out techno via his Soma and Kompakt releases, produced sounds of a more lush varietal in his work with Junior Boys and Everything But The Girl's Tracey Thorn, and he's even thrown a little dance rock down the pipe with The Rapture. To boot he's written a book, and he's got a Master's degree in philosophy. And we haven't even mentioned his work as a DJ yet.
In short, as a jock he's up there with the best, always techically superb with a strong undercurrent that keeps floors surging. We hosted him at Mister Saturday Night last year alongside the legendary Todd Terry, and let's just say that he more than held his own. Tonight we're hosting him loft-style with Eamon Harkin and Justin Carter laying down before and after.
Eamon and Justin are throwing Mister Saturday Night in the way it was always meant to exist: as an underground loft party. The focus is still on high quality music, but the setting has changed to become more comfortable, always in a loft or other off-the-beaten path space that feels more like a home than a club. (Actually, so far we've only got plans to do Mister Saturday Night at places where people actually live). We always make sure there are friendly people working with us, nooks to chat with friends and escape the sound, a house-run bar stocking good beers and spirits at non-club prices, and, of course, a cozy dancefloor with our nice, warm Turbosound system (that's soon to be doubled in size).
The only thing missing from the formula is you. We hope you'll join us.
