DJ Koze aka Stefan Kozalla has been a long time musician. He has had some very rather interesting project such as running his early hip-hop outfit Fischmob, to becoming electronica's Adolf Noise, to his electronic band International Pony and still to this day, being DJ Koze. 'Thinking outside the box' has been Koze's motto since the start and it is why he has been under our radar now for a long time now. It is quite hard at first to understand his music as it seems rather odd, different and plain simply weird. But If you really put your head to it, its something fresh and different, not pigeon holing himself to one sound or one trend. A former turntable champion for many many years, Koze is a true turntable wizard and pioneer. This year he was voted by Resident Advisor as #16 best DJ in the world. His 'Reincarnations' compilation on Get Physical was voted #3 best in the world also by RA. His records have been staples in Blkmarket Membership DJ sets and we are very proud to have such a talent playing an extended 5 hour DJ set for us to mark his New York Debut.

Three has been part of the Blkmarket Membership family for quite some time since we first started. His recent 5 hour closing set at our Sasha event turned many heads. We definitely have to say it was the best set out of 2009 for us and I think many could say the same. Smart, intelligent and ahead of the pack. For good reason also as he's been around the world with multiple visits this year to London (Fabric / Superfreq / T Bar), Berlin (Panorama Bar, Divisionaire, Watergate), Tokyo (Labrynthe Festival / Unit), P! ortugal, Spain, Australia and more. 2010 promises to be a massive year
