CassetteNYC is a collective of audio/visual artists in NYC that converge each month to showcase their collaborations, and celebrate the fruits of their labor. Part flossin', part celebration, the CassetteNYC events are always a sneak peek into the multi-media projects that drive the electronic dance movement worldwide. With remix contests, live performances, video debuts, and special sets by renown DJs and producers, CassetteNYC brings us the "next and best" in multi-media... wrapped up in a night of crazy partying. This Thursday, the CassetteNYC posse is putting together a special CMJ showcase with a stellar line-up and a grip of treats: Live visuals by Calmer & prettydamnnotbad, video premiers for Jimmy Edgar, Ninjasonik & Machinedrum, Big Fun remix contest, and an open bar at midnight.
