System and the Bastard Son of Dirty Disco join forces for an unmissable New Year’s Eve event with two of the finest acts on the house and techno scene ...
Mathew Jonson has been building a stellar reputation over the last few years as one of the most innovative electronic musicians on the scene today. Hailing from Vancouver, Mr Jonson dubbed the “analog maven” has forged a signature sound like no-one else. His intricate blend of house and techno sets him apart from his contemporaries, earning him the deserved respect of pioneers such as Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos and many other top-flight djs around the world. His unique approach to music and production found Mathew recording for M_nus, Perlon and Kompakt and touring key clubs and festivals—Panorama Bar, Space, Mutek and Timewarp, along the way. Mathew can also be credited with co-founding the much-lauded Wagon Repair stable, responsible for catapulting the talent of The Mole, Hrdvision and Ryan Crosson to the forefront of our musical times. So to help System and the Bastard Son of Dirty Disco bring in the New Year with something a little extra-special, Mathew will perform an exclusive live set, proving just why he is one of the world’s most in-demand artists.
LEE VAN DOWSKI
Lee Van Dowski became a System favourite after he rocked the Mint Club at the beginning of 2009. Belonging to Luciano’s Cadenza family of artists Lee is now a major figure on the label’s impressive rosta due to his amazing technical finesse and flawless programming skills. Having spent much of 2009 touring with Luciano, Reboot, Mirko Loko and Digitaline as part of Luciano’s experimental Æther project at the huge Lowlands, Creamfields and Monegros festivals, Lee returns to the Mint Club to help us close the year in pretty much the same way as we started it—with good quality house, techno and everything in between.
Thanks to all of you for making each party so special, we hope to see you on NYE—here’s to another year of the same!
