Where has this year gone? One minute you’re taking the tree down the next it’s time to buy turkey again! Well one thing to look forward to is our Xmas Party. After a year of regrouping and rejuvenating at Technique we’d like to invite you all to bring your balls (Xmas, of course!) to welcome in the festive period.

As the nights draw in and the weather starts to bite there’s something inviting about warm, dark clubs. The underground cavern of WIRE fits that description perfectly; low ceilings, sparse lighting and cosy booths create a space perfect for intense, all night raves away from the world above. Situated below the heart of the city, WIRE has long been a favourite venue of ours - perhaps due to it’s likeness to the now infamous OSLO, the home to our early TECHNIQUE events of 2001, or perhaps because it has the feeling of a secret party space hidden from the rest of the city.

Following the venue’s sound system overhaul, with a freshly installed FUNKTION ONE system and a newly designed and relocated DJ booth we’re returning our old ethos for a very special event. One guest - one room - one night!

We put a lot of thought into who that special guest should be for this year’s Xmas party and there’s was one obvious choice. WOLF + LAMB will make their Leeds debut on 11 DECEMBER 2009, something that we at Technique are very proud of – W + L will join the long list of names such as who made their UK, or at least North of England debut at Technique.

It’s more than fitting that Zev Eisenberg and Gadi Mizrahi aka W + L come to mark the last party before NYE for us. The guys have made 2009 their own – finally starting to receive the long overdue credit for their record labels, productions, Marcy Hotel (www.wolflambmusic.com/themarcy) project and of course their unrivalled DJ sets.

Having supported and released the likes of Seth Troxler and Lee Curtiss for the past few years and Soul Clap more recently it’s clear that the boys have had quite a vision. Haling from Brooklyn, New York W+L have been credited with ‘the North American house and techno scene’s recent revitalisation’.
Add to this the fact that they have become increasingly sought after on this side of the pond with the likes of Watergate, Arma 17, T-Bar and the ever influential Fabric quick to recognise the uniqueness of their DJ skills and, ….quite simply WOLF + LAMB are not to be missed!!!
