Line-up / Steve Bug (Pokerflat) - 4 Hour set
Warm Residents
Warm continue their exclusive monthly Plastic People residency on Friday February 19th with a 4 hour set from a guest who needs no introduction: Steve Bug.
For the past two decades Steve Bug has been an unstoppable force in the electronic music scene. As the brains behind three highly respected record labels he has built up a musical empire through a work ethic and DJ schedule that would put most younger producers to shame. Through these channels he has been able to explore every aspect of his musical palette, from the tech-house of Poker Flat (which celebrated 10 years of releases last year), to the deeper sounds of Dessous, and the progressive, forward-thinking outlook of Audiomatique. His own productions have been issued on some of the most adored labels in recent years – including Minus and Kompakt – and he has continued to conjure up releases with true staying power, none more so than in the yearning piano-led minimalism of ‘Loverboy’ which set the template for the minimal sound long before it was cool. And In many ways that is Steve Bug: always true to his game; trend-setter, not trend-follower.
Above all else though, the best place to experience Steve Bug is on the dancefloor. So we’re very excited to be giving him 4 hours to dig deep, to spread out, and to do what he does best: play the music he loves. In the intimate confines of Plastic People it’s sure to be seductive, melodic, and totally essential.
Supporting Steve Bug will be the Warm Residents themselves Ali Tillett & Rob Summerhayes.
