secretsundaze are excited to release details of our NYE party for 2009/2010. Taking things more intimate this year and with a real back to basics feel, we will be taking over our very own James' new temporary venue The CAMP (The City Arts & Music Project) in the heart of Shoreditch.
Hosting the perfectly formed, raw basement which has seen off the hook parties from the likes of Sud Electronic and Bad Passion, making it one of the most talked about new party spaces in London, we have invited both Delano Smith (Mixmode, Detroit) and our close friend Wbeeza (Third Ear) to welcome in the new year. Delano is one of the unsung and most underrated Detroit artists and has a huge House music heritage, having been cited by none other than Derrick May as a major inspiration as a DJ. His music on the likes of his own Mixmode and also the UK's excellent Third Ear has a great warmth, depth and class only dreamed of by other artists. Just check his recent Nebula EP on Mixmode or Midnite on Third Ear for a taster. This is a very rare and highly anticipated performance from Delano in UK.
Also guesting on the night will be Wbeeza - Live (Third Ear). Warren's music has already made serious waves around the globe. His sound is influenced by Detroit house/techno as a base, yet with a heavy smattering of jazz, soul and other urban London flavours such as garage and dubstep. Ultimately it all makes for a potent dancefloor cocktail that will have you groovin!
Last but surely not least, London's finest Giles Smith and James Priestley step up as residents, keeping the temperature high. Upstairs we have also invited 2 London crews that we are close to, to keep the family vibe. Going head to head are To The Bone and The Cosmic Truth. Both have impeccable disco, funk to house credentials and should ensure we wave goodbye to 2009 and say hello to 2010 in fine style.
So with two super hot underground guests joining Giles and James, going for a return to a smaller more intimate party vibe, taking over one of London's buzziest new venues, two of London's reigning Disco crews hosting the second room and a no-nonsense admission price, this is without doubt one of the
hottest new year tickets.
