Q. Why did the biscuit cry?
A. Because his mum and dad had been a wafer so long.
It’s time to jingle bell rock and deck the halls with house, electro, disco and electronic goodness. Face painting, fairy lights and cakes. Smiley, happy, shiny, festive, party people. Yeah. You know what we’re talking about.
T’is the season to be very jolly indeed.
Since his first album, the sublime “Will See You Now”, CAGEDBABY has been constantly destroying dancefloors the world over as a DJ, gathering a cult following by craftfully delivering his unique style of techno and disco, deploying his own re-edits, remixes and productions from his residencies in Ibiza's Space Terrace, Pacha and Eden to Womb and Fuji Rock in Japan, from the Big Day Out in Australia to Rock Ness, Creamfields, Glastonbury and Bestival; a firm festival favourite. His latest single ‘Medicine Man’ went straight in at Number 2 The Buzz chart and is getting caned in clubs the world over and getting massive support from the likes of Radio 1.
This baby is not so much caged as he is fully fledged unleashed and ready to kick some serious party brockin’ butt.
DEAD KIDS join us tonight in DJ mode, and hardly need an introduction as the fast, loose, and debauched wild princes of Fun. Having played major festivals and venues across Europe, the band have released a series of highly sought-after singles on a variety of independent labels. They are now looking forward to release of their album, Dark Party, a celebration of the intense highs and terrible comedowns of the party lifestyle, set for release in early 2010.
A perfect contender for the Beats Bubble moshpit we thinks.
Also in Room 1 you’ll find the sublime, disco Daddy’o and head honcho of The Hackney Players Assocaition, ANDY NEWCOMBE; house monkey, festival organiser and long (long) time DJ , KID FIESTA and all round nice Aussie dude, DIM SUM promoter, techno producer (and birthday boy), MIDS.
Room 2 sees a truly bumper lineup of tasty tunage (and nonsense):
THE DALSTON MILLIONAIRES CLUB was conceived on the dance floor... an adaptation of a Berlin party catering for East London's hub of creativity. The party ethos is simple - a night of wholesome Underground Music ranging from the Deepest Disco to Driving Hypnotic Beats - the main focus - gathering a group of forward thinking party people and simply getting on down!
BOBBIE ANDERSON has been a club dj since 1996 and was formally known in the London UK Garage circuit as Lady B-Line - Bobbie has played to gatherings of 3,000 and to smaller crowds for parties right through the night in America, Europe and Uk. Bobbie Anderson's sets are uplifting with the ability to take a crowd through a journey of the cutting edge sounds of house or simple the classics you adore for a sweet harmony, spiritual clubbing experience.
I ? WHAT? AKA MARSHALL HACKETT - Long time DJ and regular on the festival circuit has been shaking crowds for many years now from main stages to hidden discos. A true lover of all things musical, you never quite know what to expect but one thing is for sure, it'll be a real rump shaker! Covering everything from 80's electro-funk, Italo & cosmic disco to all things house & breaks from today's dance floors. Combine that with his own cheeky bootleg's, re-edits and remixes, you're in for a Christmas cracker!
HELL MITTENS are the leaders of the gang and overlords of the Having a Laugh empire. Known for their unpretentious attitude and big phat floor fillers, they are a couple of guaranteed crowd pleasers and on that note, it’s ginormous pleasure to have them on board tonight.
