Tony Lionni is one of the most exciting newcomers of 2009. Fusing the subtlety of Detroit Techno with an overwhelming euphoria, As a recording artist he is a newcomer - as a DJ he has been well-respected in Manchester..s underground club scene for quite some time. He grew up in Liverpool, listening to the Soul-, Disco- and Funk records of his father. Being down with a crew from Manchesters neighborhood Old Trafford called The Rebels In Effect, HipHop shaped his future musical direction. Up to now he has deejayed at almost all relevant clubs in Manchester & around the world including Club Yellow Tokyo, Berghain Berlin and The End London. Lionni's profound knowledge of the history of black music makes his techno tracks so striking and soulful.
