Hi Gang!
Firstly a massive thank-you for supporting us throughout 2009 – it’s been an awesome year for Rampant and we really appreciate your help in holding some amazing events!
What a roadblock at the 333 for Halloween – not often that the police turn up to complain about the size of a queue! Click the link at the bottom of this message to see the photos..
Our final event of 2009 is the Rampant Burlesque Xmas Party which will be a very xmassy, festive affair with burlesque performances, snake charmers, xmas cocktails, fancy dress and lots of special xmas surprises – watch out for the gypsy harmonica group belting out carols!
The Brickhouse is a gorgeous new white venue with 3 levels of space, a stonking brand new Funktion One (the Ferrari of sound) sound system, a level of beds, heated outdoor garden and cool décor slap bang in the middle of Brick Lane.
Headlining for us is Rampant friend Jerome Hill who first played for us in 2000 and is one of the most talented DJ’s we have ever known. With the music selection skills of Norman Jay, the rare sixth sense of sending crowds crazy every time of Carl Cox, the rag tag mash-up ease of the Scratch Perverts and the scratching skills of DJ Yoda (yep, we shit you not, wait till you hear him!), Jerome is the most exciting talent in London’s underground music scene. Whilst equally at home playing techno, breaks, reggae or dubstep, he is busy crafting a special xmas party set of floor shaking tunes to show off his skills to the max. Bring it on Jerome!
The Rampant residents of Bryce Nielsen, Julieta Blue, Jose and The Woo, Colin James and DJ Kata will be providing sonic mash-ups and mixes to keep the dancefloor heaving. These guys have been on fire this year, constantly creating captivating sets to devastating effect - see them for the last time before we decamp out of the big smoke for xmas and return in February 2010!
See you there and remember to don your most Burlesque or Red of outfits!
note on the dress code. Burlesque is anything goes - think gangster, showgirl, gypsy or Victorian. Or you can get in with any item of red clothing and we will also have cheap red santa’s hats on the door as a back-up for you.
