The AV Social, a series of events focused on audiovisual performance, designed for media savvy audiences as well as AV industry types, eager to take the pulse of this new and exciting scene.

Although many audiovisual acts are based in London, not many get an opportunity to play in dedicated local events, even less have a chance to meet up in a social context and share their experience of the local music, VJ and AV scenes.

The AV Social aims to fill this gap.

Held at Clerkenwell House, the AV Social offers a lot of scope for experimentation with two rooms fully fitted with sound system, projections, screens and plasmas.

The chilled ground floor room is perfect for screenings, installations, downtempo and theatrical music performances whilst the banging basement room attract people that want to have a dance while looking at rhythmically moving images.

The next AV Social will be held on the 3rd of June, with a lineup just as much focused on the music as the visuals.

Headlining upstairs is Punkvert's AV band, mixing electro and burlesque with music from Maelific Jester. VJ Anyone will be warming up for Punkvert with a new AV set produced in collaboration with Motorboy.

Headlining downstairs is superstar VJ Catweasel (resident for MTV Live, Top of the Pops and X-Factor) playing alongside Tom Real accomplished music producer on Functional Records. Warming up for Cat and Tom is Amsterdam's conceptual VJ Oxygen fresh from a tour in Spain, flanked by funky DVS resident DJ Baa Baa.

Kicking off the whole AV Social extravaganza is AddictiveTV's all star selection of work screened at Optronica festival: The Best of MixMasters, the cream of their accaimed late night show on ITV.
