The Old Queen’s Head New Year’s Eve Parties have become legendary fixtures on the London scene and, to mark the turn of the decade, they’ll be pushing out all the stops to make it more memorable than ever! Taking place on Thursday 31st December, Featuring headline DJ sets from The Maccabees and Mr Thing, The Old Queen’s Head Zoo Year’s Eve will bring out your wild side!

Upon arrival, guests will be “welcomed to the jungle”, greeted with a complimentary cocktail and taken back by the transformation of the bar into a fully fledged zoo, complete with cages, life-size animals, sand-pits and foliage. Guests are encouraged to dress up as their favourite animal, or take the role of zoo-keepers and animal trainers in order to blend in to the surroundings, and have their picture taken in the monkey house photo booth. There will also be face painters on hand to animalise anyone who so desires!

As a celebration of the last decade of amazing music, The Old Queens Head will be asking everyone to leave their top 10 favourite songs from the last 10 years on The Old Queens Head’s Blog & Facebook page, where the DJ’s themselves will be adding their own – and mixing them all into their sets.

The Old Queen’s Head is famed for its international DJs and hot headline acts and this Zoo Year’s Eve will be provided by the legendary DJ and World Championship DMC winner Mr. Thing, who has toured and performed with the likes of the Beastie Boys and Run DMC.

Following on from him is Orlando Weeks, lead singer of London’s favourite indie band, The Maccabees, who will be playing his trademark blend of Electro and Indie Pop. The night will be packed full of great tunes, as The Old Queen’s Head, one of London’s foremost music venues, looks forward to welcoming in another decade of great music.
