Chrissy Maranello & Lee Rands
Namedrop & Benoit
This week we bring you a double offering with both disco guests in the lounge as well as a house guest in the basement joining our talented residents. Supplying the disco soundtrack will be Namedrop & Benoit.
To say Namedrop & Benoit have an expansive record collection would be something of an understatement. Their involvement in Bill Brewster and Frank Broughton’s Secret Weapons nights – were underground heroes come to play their uber obscure disco vinyl – will give you some idea just how deep their musical knowledge goes. Frank Broughton even went as far to call them “the most symbiotic DJ pairing he has ever seen” – which is reason enough for us to get them down to Unwind for a set that promises to take in everything but the kitchen sink.
Keeping things deep in the basement alongside our residents Chrissy Maranello & Lee Rands is Dogmatik label boss Alex Arnout. Alex has been building quite a reputation for himself over the past decade. With releases under a number of different guises (DaLunartikz, Dread Poets, Sublunar, Ceramix and Output) and with guest slots at some of the globes most respected nights including Danzatoria (Barcelona), Fabric (London), Dance Valley (Amsterdam/Barcelona), Circo Loco (Ibiza), Club Loop (Tokyo) and Mecca (Prague), Alex has shown a real talent for making great house music and delivering it within his sets. His recent 'Yeah EP' on Dogmatik has been receiving support from many of the leading underground artists and is a great example of the sound we can expect Alex to deliver at Unwind.
Chrissy Maranello and Lee Rands will be setting the tone as well as delivering the closing set the night in the basement whilst Stevie T will be joining Namedrop & Benoit in the lounge to complete this line up of musical talent.
Join us each Friday as we show you the real way to Unwind.
