crobar Presents NY Locals with Merritt, DJ Michelangelo and Artie Cabrera (aka DJ Mutt)!

DJ Merritt has been one of the ground breakers in the New York club scene since 1989, playing his unique blend of hard-house, tribal and progressive beats on the main floors of some of the city’s biggest clubs. He was one of the originators of the Sugar Babies party which ran for seven years, as well as one of the main players in the long running Latin-house party, Café Con Leche. crobar is proud to be brining back rising star, DJ Michelangelo. Michelangelo has always had a love for music and could always be found playing the Disc Jockey role. It started with making mixed tapes as young as 10 years old, with just a simple double tape deck radio. Since then he has opened for friend and legendary DJ Danny Tenaglia and has played in many NYC, Miami, St. Martin, and Vegas venues. Artie Cabrera sculpted his craft through devotion and a persistent learning of the art of music by immersing himself in Rock, Industrial, Hip Hop and classical music. Artie committed himself to writing songs endlessly over the course of many years, developing a broad and creative range. Artie is now producing house tracks for Rolling Big Entertainment and working on a rock record with various musicians and producers. Tonight in the Reed Room, Chi Chi Valenti and Johnny Dynell celebrate their weekly themed party, “Utopia Parkway” with a glittering white, ice-cold installation. Ice Princesses, glittery faux-snow, and Russian ballerinas will strike all-white tableau on the room's go-go platforms, lightly dusted with snow. Guests are urged to wear winter white or white glitter.
