Batty Bass are taking over T Bar for a night of mashed up bass to get your heart racing and your feet moving. Sounds like
DIRTY BASS N BEATS FROM THE DEEPNESS OF HOUSE, FUNK, TECHNO, AND DUBSTEP RIGHT THROUGH TO JUNGLE ALL WOVEN INTO THE SPECIAL SOUND OF BATTY BASS.
Expect - lots of bass, dance-offs and haircuts.
Leading the way on the night is label mother and driving force behind Batty Bass Hannah Holland. Hannah’s been capturing the hearts and minds of ravers and party goers across the globe for THE LAST 7 YEARS, starring at Trailer Trash, Bugged Out and Fabric in London as well as Ibiza’s Amnesia and Serbia’s notorious Exit Festival. Bastard Batty Bass a vehicle for Hannah to pursue the more eclectic side of her musical repertoire alongside long time collaborators Mama and MC Chickaboo. BBB has since become something of a monster with a loyal and vigorous following.
Co-founder, Mama WILL BE PERFORMING HER SEXY NEW SOLO SHOW, adding her own beat and throwing out a fury of her thoughts, opinions and backchat across the floor. Mama, who often courts comparisons with Grace Jones (only she’s much better looking and doesn’t beat men up) mixes vocal MCing with fanatic comedic conversation and some downright good advice delivering a whirlwind of energy to the room.
Deboa has been widely admired on the UK DJ circuit for the last 10 years, tearing it up from Sankey Soaps in Manchester down to Fabric in London. He draws on a wide experience of sounds having worked for some of the most influential labels such as Hospital Records, Buzzin’ Fly and Rough Trade, which makes him fit perfectly into the fusion of sounds that has become synonymous with the Batty Bass brand.
As part of The Usual Suspects, Keaton released “Killa Bees,” the epochal single released on Renegade Hardware in 1999. As a result they were named Best Newcomers by Knowledge Magazine and thrust into the limelight virtually overnight. Nine years on, Keaton has released nearly 100 tracks on various high profile labels. His debut single on his own record label won a BBC Radio 1 single of the year award, he also made the first Drum & Bass track to make the A-list on BBC 1xtra.
