Dub kings smashes back into Junk with the April edition boasting an impressive lineup.
Joining the esteemed Dub Kings residents is JOKER who with an abundance of amazing original productions created a stir in his hometown of Bristol which soon spread throughout the UK. Recently his remixes for the likes of Sub Focus and SMD have propelled him into the limelight globally and he has gained huge support from the likes of Radio 1's Mary Anne Hobbs & Annie Nightingale as well as support from Kiss FM's Sinden and a plethora of his peers including Rusko, Caspa & Skream.
Supporting Joker is Oris Jay under his new alias DARQWAN whose influence has never been more powerful. His dark sound revolutionised the UK garage and breaks scenes and laid the foundations for 21st Century dubstep this is the boy who wrote the book. Oris Jay first made an impact on the Jungle scene in the early 90s tearing up the North with DJ Pioneer (Delta Romeo) and MCs E-Man and Hero as The Reflex Crew.
In production terms Oris’s sound has been unique from the outset, influenced by dark, edgy d&b and the vibe of 2-step and UK garage. His underground anthem ‘Biggin Up The Massive’, featuring a sample of MC Ranking, is an early example of his fire. Legendary garage DJ EZ began to rinse it, Oris broke London and the rest is history.
Dub Kings truly brings the old and new schools of Dub together for what is set to be an amazing night.
