Maurice Fulton is one of electronic music’s true originals. An American ex-pat who now makes his beats in Sheffield UK, he has a name that steadily recurs to those in the dance scene know. He is a DJ and producer with a reputation for surprising and delighting his listeners with music that is unexpected but always genuinely good.
Fulton has been producing cutting edge electronic music since the early 90’s and is the darling of both the underground and leftfield scenes. He goes by his many monikers, including Ladyvipb, Eddie and the Egg and Syclops and has produced albums for Kathy Diamond and his wife, Mu as well as remixes for Annie, Hot Chip, Chicken Lips, !!! and The Rapture to name a few.
Through the years this prodigious producer has carved out his own unique sound in the leftfield scene. His recording career is expansive and impressive with releases on some of dance music’s most important labels such as Warp, Sonar Kollektiv, Output, Tirk and most recently DFA.
Fulton’s versatility, style, and skills on the turntables are virtually unmatched. His sincerity and flair for combining a selection of garage, classics and contemporary underground dance music is second to none.
