aka Joseph Keevill is a self confessed "Geek with a Passion" who was jamming with synths, drum machines and a Tandy mixer from the tender age of 8. Whilst other kids were collecting Star Wars toys, Saytek was dragging his mum around car boot sales looking for obsolete synths or creating sound warping algorithms on his commodore 64.
Saytek has been a major player in the scene for almost 10 but has just risen to underground hero status in recent years, releasing successful deep tech house and techno records since 2001 all of which have been met with critical acclaim, as well as being championed by the world’s most respected DJs. Fast forward 2010, Saytek is a live artist, an innovator and pioneer who brings real meaning to the term "Live" in electronic music.
Using Classic roland hardware, cutting edge 21st century computer technology and a myriad of noise mangling gadgets, Saytek creates & improvises on the fly. Not only is all the music his own but it is truly performed live in response to the crowd. His shows are so awe inspiring that he has been sited by both press and underground music fans as one of the best live acts to emerge in recent times. His reputation as a performer alone has earned him the place as headliner at some of Europe’s most highly regarded parties .An accolade shared only by the cream of underground house and techno talent.
His technical flare is coupled with fierce music integrity which has remained in tact since he was introduced and fell in love with Detroit techno and acid house at the age of 13. Saytek's style is deep, rolling, thoughtful and designed to rock the peak time dance floor. He combines the new house and techno phenomenon with elements of dub, Detroit techno, ethnic percussive grooves, retro acid house, left field jazz and Latin flavours to provide a unique and refreshing journey.
After show stopping launch parties at both T Bar in London and Sankey’s in Manchester, Saytek’s 2nd album “Live from the Other Side” is now available on Channel Zoo records. Recorded live at The Zoo Project last Summer 2009 in front of thousands of Ibiza’s finest party people. Live from the Other Side caught a moment of musical history. The album is a follow up to his hugely successful "live From The seal Pit" recorded in 2008, an album that was one of the most popular CDs for sale in Ibiza in 2009. The new album is flying out to all corners of the world before the 2010 season has even begun.
Saytek will be releasing re-edits and remixes by top producers of Saytek’s live material coming soon on Cubism Records.
A small town boy with big city ambitions. Since finding electronic music in his early teenage years Jordan has spent way too many hours infront of a computer screen building avant-garde beats and even more "misspent" time in late nite establishments, warehouses . . . and pretty much any place you can put up a soundsystem and a few lights, partying to the point where night becomes day but dosen't necessarily meen home time
Starting out as a dj and then breaking into music production, Jordan's sound is a mixture of organic drums on top of synthised melodies combined with a healthy dose of low end frequencys; deep, hypnotic, far-out grooves which join the dots between house and techno. Jordan frequnetly plays out as a dj, equally adapt at creating the early night ambiance perfect for warming up a club and just as skilled at selecting the more twisted material that only sounds right when it goes past the witching hour
It was in 2003, fresh out of high school when Monika invested in a pair of turntables and sunk her teeth into the world of electronic music. Brought up on tech house her style moved into a deeper, darker sort of style playing at small underground clubs involved with Sydney's intricate scene. From here Monika got involved in radio and landed a slot hosting and producing `Frequency’, FBI Radio’s friday night electronic show. Since residing in East London in 2008, she soon established herself within London’s growing music scene with the east's magnetic culture having a substantial influence on her music. She has an amazing eye for a tune and scours the scene looking for the hottest and newest cuts of deep, tech and minimal.
Born in London's Camden Town first started DJing in nightclubs when he was 13 years old when he worked for a music development company named "Bigga Fish" for which he taught teenagers in school how to DJ.. After 9 years away from DJing he burst back onto the seen 2 years ago with a new sound "House" and in a very short space of time established himself as one of Londons most promising up n coming Djs. Like RARESH, its not the records that has built his name, as at present he hasnt made any, but its the fact that hes just a fantastic DJ. If we are lucky maybe 2010 will see him in the studio, and then he will fly even higher.
