Pete Tong returns to Uber for an extra special Saturday night exclusive on April 24th at Club Concrete. The Essential Selection Don will come hotfoot from the 500th Essential Mix which will be broadcast on Radio 1 the night before.
Despite being at the forefront of the scene for the last 20 years, Pete Tong’s stock couldn’t be higher at the moment, having remixed and produced with some of the best around, such as Nic Fanciulli and Paul Rogers. Add that to his continued presence on the airwaves with Radio 1’s Essential Selection every Friday night, and you have a DJ at the top of his game with a national profile bigger than anyone else in the country.
For the first time this year, Uber returns to its spiritual home of Club Concrete on Lowther Street, and with tickets only £10 before 11pm (£12 after), Concrete is sure to be jammed to the rafters, so people are advised to arrive early to avoid disappointment.
April the 24th also sees Uber welcome The Nut House DJs for the very first time: Mike Cherry and David Fitz have already been making waves up in Dumfries so the customary Uber-invasion from the Scottish Borders is guaranteed to be even bigger than usual, with Annan’s Ki Creighton, Kevin Glover and Mike Barty also on the bill.
In the main room Tony Van Lierop makes a long-awaited return to Uber, alongside super resident Jay Wykes.
The event sees Uber secure yet another massive name from the scene in what has been a busy year so far, with Pete Heller, Terry Farley, Todd Terry, Danny Rampling and now Pete Tong coming out to play in Carlisle with 2010 a mere four months old.
