*TECHNO, LEICESTER SQUARE*
*70FT UP IN THE AIR*
*PANORAMIC SKYLINE VIEWS OF LONDON*
*FRIDAY NIGHT, 14TH MAY*
'tek' launches on Friday 14th May with an aim to deliver a slice of what is happening in the depths of our fair city right smack bang in the centre of London.
With panoramic views of the city skyline 'tek' will have a monthly residency on the 7th floor of The Penthouse, No. 1 Leicester Square. The Penthouse is the top three floors of what used to be the legendary 'Home' Night club.
Each Month 'tek' will be bringing the cutting edge sounds of Tech House to the West End with established headliners and guests who are representing the scene in the dark corners of the Capital. We want to show the tourists what London clubbing is really about.
For the opening night we have asked Phil Drummond to join us. Phil has been a professional DJ since the early 90’s. As a producer he has had 2 top 10 hits with ‘Xpansions’ and ‘Maradonna’, in collaboration with Richie Malone. He has performed internationally in locales such as China, Hong Kong, Russia, Siberia, Ibiza, USA, the Bahamas, and across Eastern Europe. He can currently be seen at many club nights across London and Europe and has a residency at the infamous Egg night club. With his tough bass driven sounds and immaculate mixing technique he is sure to knock the shit out of the West End! He’s a very busy DJ, is exceptional at what he does and we have great pride in presenting him at the ‘tek’ opening party.
Also for the opening night we have Francesco Poggi. Originating from Italy he came to London in 2004 and has since made a considerable impact on the underground Techno scene. His blend of minimal, techno, progressive and tech house has seen him play at venues such as Privilege, Ibiza, Ministry of Sound, London and many other leading international nightclubs. Currently he can be seen playing regularly at Scenechronic, Londons techno Sunday morning after party. As a friend and as a superb talent of a DJ, it’s with great pleasure to have Mr Poggi join us for the opening.
Join us as we showcase the sound that the Underground has been loving for far too long. Let’s give the tourists something to talk about...
