Somewhere between the astral plane and Biocity there is a place where legends are born, where myth and reality co-exist and where men become... well, they just stay as men.
That place is The Wherehouse?
Headlining this month’s gathering is Lee Curtiss. Starting his career Djing in the late 90’s, Lee has managed to forge a sound that combines the pseudo-sexual, house sound of Chicago with the darker influenced techno of Detroit. The result is a mesmerising excursion into electronic music that has seen him play in the world’s best clubs, including Fabric & Watergate (Berlin), as well as legendary festivals Mutek & DEMF.
As his biography says:
“Lee creates tracks that blend the depth and soul of the most forward thinking dance music with his own style of heavily syncopated, polyrhythmic percussion and deep, insistent basslines. The result is music that is both emotionally delicate and physically strong, as organic as it is metallic...”
Or... to put it in words that actually make sense: The boy is the fucking nuts!
Joining Lee will be the redoubtable Wherehouse? resident Matt Tolfrey. Nottingham’s favourite son really does need no introduction, if you’ve seen him DJ you know it’s special if you haven’t you’d better get yourself down to the Wherehouse? and see what all the fuss is about.
Note: Wherehouse? is a guestlist only party. In order to get on the guestlist you must add yourself to the Facebook Group (see link) or email us with the names.
