Currently riding the crest of a wave with a string of sellout shows at their new venue, the magnificent Williamson Tunnels, Freeze announce the first in a string of summer shows designed to entertain and amaze the Liverpool clubbing hordes.
The Big Freeze is a multi arena evening into late night party bringing together the cream of local Liverpool talent alongside a rising star and one of the great European techno producers.
Robert Babicz playing Live is a sight to behold. Making a first North West appearance in a long time, with his full length album Immortal Changes having dropped in March 2010 on Systematic Recordings & the launch of his new label Babiczstyle, Robert Babicz reveals his talent and skill as one of Europe's most essential techno producers.
Playing ‘live’ has always been a key feature of Babicz’s authentic musicianship; improvising instead of reeling off pre-determined sets has made his celebrated shows unquestionably unique events. He consistently delivers astonishing performances of his own productions built around warm melodies, blissed atmospherics & analogue bass - sometimes jacking, but mostly tripping and always around the foundations of his first love: techno. Consequently, Babicz has more than proven his worth in the world of dance music and his right to the title of pioneer and innovator, whether producing tech house, minimal or acid techno. With the release of Immortal Changes in early 2010, described by DJ Mag as a “marriage of organic groove and glistening electronic melodies” it is clear that Robert Babicz still has much more to give…
Henry Saiz is the creator of a very unique formula, a maximized blend of emotional techno sophistically redressed in a wonderful IDM. His music has been always marked and skillfully splashed by an acid neo-trance essence, and because of that Henry has now reached new levels of brilliance in an exquisite electronic dimension.
After releasing his first productions on labels such as Global Underground and Paradigm Musik – in which he continues to actively collaborate - in the year 2008 his crafty techno grabbed John Digweed's attention and, very soon, he saw the doors of the all-powerful British label Renaissance open wide, urging him to be a part of it. Henry signed for Renaissance and become one of the main artists of this galactic tech-house kingdom, among big names such as Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha and James Zabiela. From this moment, and having also released for labels such as Bedrock, Henry boasts two of 2009´s most popular EPs, "Artificial Paradises" and " Madre Noche". Henry is also notable for he remixing skills, being supported by artists such as John Digweed, Way Out West, Jimmy Van M and even Tiesto, among others.
There is no doubt that Henry is now one of the most popular up-and-coming Spanish artists and his constant growth has enabled him to spread his music worldwide. He is, without doubt, one of the bright new talents on the global electronic music scene.
Supporting Robert and Henry is local legend and friend of Freeze Steve Parry. Steve has been with us right from the very start, playing the 2nd ever Freeze and numerous times since, delivering every single time. A Parry gig at Freeze is always a special occasion, both for ourselves and for Steve. Anthony Probyn from the world renowned Cream and 3B’s Adam Helliwell round off a monstrously strong line up. All alongside our stellar residents.
So, 7pm is the time, The Williamson Tunnels is the place, the sun is shining, the drinks are flowing. Its summer, its Freeze…..what else can you possibly need?!?
