Strøm is a festival in Copenhagen for electronic music. Actually, not a traditional festival, but rather a selection of the best and strongest purveyors of electronic music on the Copenhagen event scene, which has evolved heavily over the last years. Strøm is funded by the city to promote electronic music and underground and to broadcast it to the masses.
Over the past four years more than 300 artists and dj's from all over the world have visited Strøm, and more than 60.000 people has participated in what we like to call the biggest festival for electronic music in Scandinavia. 2010 hosts the fourth edition of Strøm which proves that Strøm is here to stay, bigger and better than ever.
Strøm is about exposing and promoting the growing underground of electronic music, both national and international. We aim to make the good and interesting musical experience as broad and accessible as possible, thus a lot of it. Therefore the two main stages are free of charge and the festival itself makes no money.
Over a period of almost two weeks STRØM festival will take over Copenhagen and give you some of the most interesting, innovative and superfunky acts on the electronic music scene right now.
LCD Soundsystem, Gonjasufi, Cobblestone Jazz, Four Tet, Sleeparchive & DJ Pete, Thomas Fehlmann, Nosaj Thing, Untold, Darkstar, Mount Kimbie, JJ Louis, N-Type, Solomun, Jimmy Edgar, Djuma Soundsystem, Barbara Morgenstern, Style of Eye, Future 3 vs. System, Flavio Diaz, Pantha Du Prince, Dimlite, Lee Jones, Instra:Mental, Gold Panda, Appleblim, Kenton Slash Demon and many others are on the poster.
