UNDERGROUND HOUSE MUSIC AT THE RUSSIAN
If you havent made your mind up yet then here is a taste of what some of the past guests had to say about FREITAG:

RAYMUNDO RODRIGUEZ:
"I thoroughly enjoyed spinning for the Freitag guys, very nice and intimate vibes, plus a very friendly up for it crowd who were very clued up on all the music i was playing, definitely looking forward to playing again soon".

SAYTEK:
"Freitag is jewel in east london's clubbing crown with its clued up crowd , non pretentous quaility music policy and intimate surroundings. It really went off in there and i have been nagging 'em ever since to let me perform live at freitag again..."
--------------------------------------------------------------
Freitag residents James and Dimitry are joined by special guests Yiannis Balkizas(Use Your Loaf), Stefan Cordery(Kinetic Groove) and Martin Lange(Exstatic Sounds).

Stefan Cordery
Regular guest at Freitag Stefan is an electronic music artist hailing from South London in the UK. His unique blend of house and techno has taken Stefan around the UK and Europe, playing DJ sets at a number of amazing parties such as Zoo project in Ibiza alongside System of Survival. More recently Stefan has turned his hand to production, releasing 2 remixes on Rainbow Value Record Label which have received support from DJ’s such as Terry Francis, Markus Homm and Andrew Grant but to name a few. He has also completed a remix for US band Solid Gold, as part of their single release in the UK.

With his production style being compared to the likes of Radio Slave, Stefan is back in the studio working on solo material as well as his own live performance.

In 2007, Stefan saw the opportunity to start a record label for him and his friends to release their own material on, this saw the birth of “Kinetic Groove”. Now in 2009, Kinetic Groove specialises in House, Tech House, Minimal and Techno and is designed to be a platform for up and coming Electronic artists to release their material on. The label has also thrown a number of parties recently in London and also Bremen Germany, all to showcase the labels artists.

Martin Lange
Another regular guest at Freitag. Martin grew up in the north east of Germany. He quickly got in touch with electronic music trough visiting Clubs, Parties and Festivals such as Fusion, Melt, Papierfabrik Burg Stargard, Tresor and many local events.

After moving to London, Martin started playing in 2005 and since then he has played at many clubs and parties such as Klickhouse, Alambrah, Bar 54, Lokee, Lockside Lounge and many more. His sound could be described as deep tech house and techno.
Martin also hosts his own very successful event “Exstatic Sounds”.

Yiannis Balkizas
From the age of ten Yiannis was stealing his brother’s house cassette tapes and listening to them at night; the seed of dance music was sewn. When running a couple of family bars in Greece in his early twenties Yiannis listened to all kinds of music, from native music to rock music to reggae. But on arrival back in England, at the legendary Camden Palace, Yiannis first experienced thousands of clubbers going mad for the music. He fell in love with the whole vibe, not just the music, but the people he met - many of which he still remains friends with till this day. As this had become his sanctuary Yiannis was expectedly sad when Camden Palace closed it doors in 2004.
However his love affiliation with Camden Palace and the club scene inspired him to promote his own parties with friends in 2005. It was instantly a success and only grew in popularity, taking the promotion from Soundshaft to Hidden and then to The Mass, all in an exhilarating three years. It’s a proud achievement that has dovetailed into DJing and production in 2007.

Yiannis had already completed a first album within a year of begining his experimentations. He now has tracks signed on an international scale; labels include: BDivision (Italy), Remud Productions (Italy) Iniminimax (Brazil), Madhatters (London) just to name a few and often does remix work. His DJ portfolio is arguably even more impressive, having entertained club crowds at the likes of Turnmills, Ministry of Sound, Pacha, SeOne, Hidden and Scala. Yiannis has also visited sunny Ibiza, Greece and Oslo (Norway) and played at boatparties as well as different bars with his style of music that ranges from tech house to his biggest love, techno.

Yiannis has an endless list of musical influences, featuring Hawtin, Magda, Carl Cox, Chris Leibing, Stephan Bodzin, Loco Dice, Claude Von Stroke. Yiannis Balkizas has gone from strength to strength in the club scene and will only get bigger.

See you there........
