We've put in the hours on the buttons and managed to persuade some fine fuckers to come and play at our next soiree.

ALEXANDER NUT needs little introduction to those that know. But for those that don't we copied this from Rinse FM's snappy website:

"Alexander Nut is one of a kind: the only experimental hip hop DJ on London’s pioneering underground radio station, Rinse FM. He plays a global art form on a station devoted to unique local sounds. Yet Alexander and the rest of Rinse are not so different. If there’s one thing that ties his Rinse shows together, it’s hip hop. But that’s where simple definitions end. Drawing sounds from New York to Glasgow, Detroit to London, his style cuts through geographies, sounds and scenes to find common cause. His show has featured guest such as Harmonic 313, Morgan Spacek, Stacey Epps , Hudson Mohawke, Cinnaman, Oddisee, Rahel, Bullion, Paul White and more…

Recently Alex also contributed to the highly respected Rinse mix CD series, following on from classics by the likes of Skream, Geeneus, Supa D and Plastician. Rinse:08 gained a great deal of critical acclaim, supported by the likes of The Independent, Fader, Dazed & Confused, RWD, DJ Mag, SHOOK and XLR8R. This later led Alex contributing a mix for FACT magazine, which remains their most popular to date.

Radio aside Alex Nut also regularly holds down the UK club scene. Frequenting spots such as FWD>>, Deviation, Fabric, Cargo, Plastic People etc… variety, soul and heavy bass are the only staple requirements of Alex’s eclectic sets which have seen him placed on bills with everyone from Prince (yess, the Purple One!) and Frank N Dank to Joker, Harmonic 313, Dam Funk and Wookie.

Alongside Floating Points, Alex Nut also runs the newly established Eglo records, featuring artists such as Fatima, Shuanise, Funkineven and more…"

Funny they mention FATIMA, cos she's gonna be performing a live PA on the night, not to mention blessing Alex's set with some of her trademark vocals. With releases on Eglo, both under her own name and alongside Funkineven, doing the business with everyone from Benji B to Jimmy P, she's a star on the rise and worthy of all the attention she's receiving. Come and get ears on one of the most excitin voices around.

Joining the dots will be Familiar Rinse FM voice FACTION G. Here's what the internet had to say about the man...

"Faction G is a grime artist from North London. He is associated with the group Committee Recordings and appears reguarly on Rinse FM 100.4FM. He is the brother of Jungle/Drum & Bass/Early Grime MC B-Live

He is known in the grime scene for his unique style and intelligent lyrics.

Releasewise, not much has been heard from Faction G since his last album The Fact Remains."

Well that last bits not true cos he's on the radio and in the club on the regs, and is comin down to do his thing.
