Richard Benson (Warp Records);

The man behind the radio station and the reason for the night, Richard has an extensive knowledge of quality electronics right back to the days when the sounds of Chicago and Detroit merged with the emerging Sheffield sound of Warp. These influences can be heard still in the progressive style of house he plays today. Richard started out with another of Sheffields finest electronic exports, Chris Duckenfield who he also started his production career with on Warp. He is currently one half of Skitsophonics and an excellent selector in his own right.

John Shima (Shima Records / Future Music);

What can be said about this man? Label owner, producer and DJ. A lifelong purveyor of forward thinking electronics along with Sheffield Bleep and Neil, John has over 20 years experience and knowledge of just about every style of quality dance music that can be heard when he plays what he simply calls techno. If you want to know what he means be sure to catch him in the mix. Expect to hear a level of detail that can only be found in the real sound of techno, tunes from all around the world in the spirit of Detroit and rhythms that you will find yourself with no other choice than to move to.

Sheffield Bleep (SulpHate / Urban Gorilla);

Something of an enigma and a maverick with his unique approach to production whether his own music or his mixes that have received global exposure. Sheffield Bleep has put together some of the finest mixes you will hear, whether it be a Warp AI re-interpretation or his SCR tribute mix. This particular mix was an RA mix of the day. Anyone local to Sheffield would remember SCR, the radio station that launched a number of Sheffields finest electronic spinners. On this mix, Mr Bleep selected a number of his favourite tunes from the era 20 years ago. When he plays Sheffield Bleep pulls on all these influences and more, expect to move your feet and mind in equal measure.

Neil M (Future Music);

Neil is known for his eclectic approach to selecting taking in anything from African Jazz to Detroit Techno all seamlessly put together with the soulfulness of the music joining the dots. Catch Neil playing a Vinyl only selection of his favourite timeless forward thinking electronic funk tunes, giving fans of the Detroit sound something to remember.

Future Music is an internet based radio station that was launched in Sheffield. The station provides a broad selection of the very best electronic dance music with a DJ roster of talent from around the world.

We have now decided to launch a night where people can come and hear some of the stations DJ's play live.

The first night will see an all Sheffield based selection of DJ's play you the very best in electronic music from around the world.

Launching in the bar at Sawa, arrive early to get into the mood with some choice selections of early electronic funk and classics.

Expect to hear four different styles put together effortlessly purely about the music in order to make you dance all night.
