Surrey based collective In Retrospect comes to Fluid Bar this July for a night dedicated to the more soulful side of electronic dance music. Armed with an eclectic array of DJs, this night promises a heavy dose of electro, breakbeat, hip hop and liquid drum and bass.

Alongside the In Retrospect residents there'll also be some very special guests including.. 2009 and 2010 DMC UK Champion DJ Jeppa, Ramp Radio resident Nat*Mor and representing DRUMiX, drum and bass duo Rudeboy and AHZ from the Czech Republic.

DJ JEPPA - 2 x DMC UK Champion '09/'10

Jeppa's journey into the world of turntablism began at the age of 12 when he was introduced to the art of scratching by British DJs Hype and Sy. In 2004, Jeppa began his competition career, defeating 62 rival DJs in the well respected 'Turbo Promotions' DJ Comp. Filled with confidence, he decided his time had come to test his skills in the world renowned DMC championship, reaching the final of the London heat.

Since that day Jeppa has never looked back, competing in the UK heats every year since 2004. In 2009, Jeppa was crowned DMC UK champion. His crowd pleasing tricks and eclectic music selection make Jeppa a favourite among fellow scratch fanatics and the uninitiated wider public alike. His dynamic style coupled with his jaw-dropping turntable skills make for excitement and intrigue in any setting.

RUDEBOY & AHZ - DRUMiX Czech Republic

In Retrospect are very proud to welcome DJs Rudeboy and AHZ on their UK debut. These two have been hugely instrumental in pushing the Czech dnb scene forward and have enjoyed a lot of success through their own night DrumiX, which has been responsible for introducing such names as Rockwell, Cyantific and Spor to the Czech scene for the first time. Both Rudeboy and AHZ champion the deep and more intelligent side to drum and bass music and take their influences from such artists as Spectrasoul, Naibu, Blu Mar Ten and Sabre. NAT*MOR - Ramp Radio

In Retrospect favourite Nat*Mor has been involved in the underground dance music scene for a number of years both as a singer, producer and DJ. As well as running the London based internet radio station, she's been busy in the studio working on various projects including writing and performing the current release 'I Feel'. Produced by EL-B, the track featured as 'Record Of The Week' on the recent Mistajam show on BBC 1Xtra.
