Line-up /WILD GEESE
Wild Geese fly in to Basement Boogaloo on 3 July, bringing their own special mix of disco, deep house and pub rave to the East End’s premier late night boozer.
Frank Tope and Dan Foat are well-known night owls round these parts (not least for their Rooty and Phonica connections), and together with production partner Nathan Boddy - who has rocked Boogaloo in Nottingham in the past under his Office Gossip guise - they have knocked out a string of killer tunes as Wild Geese, remixing Metronomy and Friendly Fires in the process.
Their own “Macho Disco Master” caused quite a stir when it came out on Flashback and appearances at Glastonbury and Bestival over the summer will do nothing to harm their profile. Anyone who cites Giorgio Moroder, Patrick Cowley, Murk and DiY amongst their influences is alright by us, so come and catch them at the Star to see what all the fuss is about.
